We are exactly one month away from UFC 202 Diaz vs McGregor II live in Las Vegas. Their first fight was a classic event. Nate Diaz took the fight on a eleven days notice after McGregor’s original opponent Rafael Dos Anjos pulled after the an injured foot. After news broke, Nate Diaz would be the replacement, the MMA world erupted with excitement. After Nate Diaz called out Conor in his last fight the world knew this would be an instant classic. Leading up to fight night, the trash talk between the two was more exciting than we have ever seen. In the fight McGregor appears to be taking it to Diaz with constant over hand rights busting up Diaz after the first round.
However in the second round McGregor appeared to gas himself out and took an over hand left that stunned him and he never recovered. He tried for a take down and was submitted by a rear naked choke hold. Once Diaz vs McGregor II was announced for Aug 20 UFC 202, a fter Conor was pulled from UFC 200 due to not wanting to participate in press conference obligations, fans immediately became excited for the rematch. Now that we are exactly one month away the intensity will on grow. McGregor wanted to fight at the same weight to prove the first fight was a learning process. On Aug 20 we will see if those changes will overcome Nate Diaz.
I personally believe Conor McGregor will make the proper adjustments and pull away with a victory setting up an amazing trilogy. Let the countdown begin, Aug 20th can’t come soon enough!
